ROCK HILL FARM NEEDS A REAL CONSERVATION PLAN; NOT JUST A CONSERVATION LABEL.

Willistown’s Comprehensive Plan recognizes the importance of protecting our woodlands, wildlife habitat, biodiversity, and open space.

But under the current draft settlement plan for Rock Hill Farm, the areas labeled “conservation” have no clear, enforceable stewardship plan for their long-term care.


What happens when mature trees are removed for homes and septic systems?What happens when invasive plants move into newly disturbed woodland? Who will protect the meadows and native plants? Who will make sure future homeowners—or lawn-care companies—don’t mow, spray, or remove habitat that should be preserved?


Rock Hill Farm’s extraordinary woodlands and habitat took decades to develop. Without a plan to manage and protect them, they can deteriorate quickly.

Please contact the Willistown Township Board of Supervisors and ask them to require a comprehensive, enforceable ecological stewardship plan for Rock Hill Farm before approving the settlement.


Tell them:

“Conservation must include long-term stewardship, not just acreage designated as conservation.”





Speak up for Rock Hill Farm. Protect the land. Protect the habitat. Protect Willistown’s natural heritage.
