Dear Neighbors,

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to discuss a potential use of Township Open Space Funds:

Thursday, February 12 7:00 PM General Wayne Elementary School Auditorium 20 Devon Road, Malvern, PA 19355

Purpose of the Hearing

The Board will consider whether to use Open Space Funds to buy the property at: 185 Grubb Road 

Where We Stand

At this time, we cannot support or oppose the sale of the so-called “pizza slice” portion of the property without a clear and complete plan for the entire property. From the beginning, we have stressed the intent and desire for a conservation outcome for the entire property. We NEED to see, understand and consider the entire proposal as a real plan for developing the ENTIRE property to consider any "deals" for a portion of it.​

Key Concerns to Consider

• Why should the community agree to something on one portion of the property that could compromise the remainder? 

• Why is the Township not presenting this with an "approvable" plan?

•  Does this proposal connect to a broader settlement where there are any "concessions" to the developer?

We want all the information. We want the best conservation outcome for the whole. We do not want our community divided on what parcels to conserve and what not to conserve. We want to fight for open space — not compromise for it.
