WILLISTOWN RESIDENTS & FRIENDS: PLEASE SHOW UP.

On Monday, September 14 at 7:00 pm, the Willistown Township Board of Supervisors will meet at General Wayne Elementary School to vote on the plan submitted by the developer for Rock Hill Farm.

This is a critical moment for Willistown.

The proposed plan puts 222 acres of Rock Hill Farm at risk while preserving a separate 24-acre parcel with little to no comparable ecological value.

The 222-acre main parcel includes wetlands surrounding the vulnerable headwaters of Crum Creek, an Exceptional Value stream, historic resources, mature habitat, and natural meadows that provide food and cover for wildlife. Once these resources are fragmented or lost, they cannot simply be replaced.

But there is another issue that deserves the attention of every Willistown resident:

Our Township should stand behind its zoning code—or reconsider why we have one.

Why would Willistown apply an overlay intended for a non-residential district? The history and application of our zoning code deserve careful consideration, particularly in light of Judge Verwey’s conclusion. More importantly, what precedent are we setting if the Township does not defend and support its own zoning regulations?

The Save Rock Hill Farm team has identified major issues with the proposed plan that we believe need to be addressed before it moves forward.

This decision affects more than Rock Hill Farm. It affects how Willistown protects its land, water, historic resources and how it applies its zoning code in the future.

Please come to the meeting. Bring your neighbors. Bring your friends. Make your voice heard.
